Our curriculum activities

We are trying to build an institution that would continue to help the local people by providing affordable yet higher quality of education, which is not by preparing the pupils for the industrial and corporate sector, but by helping them become empathetic, imaginative, and creative human beings by imbibing aesthetics, kindness, tolerance, culture, tradition, as well as adaptation to modern perspective. Our teaching methods include creative arts, like arts and crafts, and painting; and performing arts, like music and dance; alongside the regular curriculum that is required by the norms of the time, like science, mathematics, languages, literature, social sciences, etc. The idea is to generate youngsters with extraordinary imagination and aesthetic sensibilities.

Arts and Crafts: These activities help instil a sense of achievement and pride in children, boosting their self-confidence. The opportunity to create whatever a child desires helps foster creativity. A child will learn to make correct and effective decisions by facing and solving artistic challenges.

Art _ Craft

Dance

Dance is a holistic exercise that builds one’s mind and body. Adding dance to academics is not a diversion or disturbance but can actually make students better in life. Not only do students learn to dance, engage in a physical activity but also experience something that highlights their spirit.

Music

The benefits of music education are immense and highly beneficial to students. Music positively impacts a child’s academic performance, assists in developing social skills, and provides an outlet for creativity that is crucial to a child’s development.

Painting

Painting allows the children to express themselves through colours. The changing types of painting and the choice of colours they use helps the educators understand and therefore guide the learners better. Besides, holding brushes and using colours help develop the fine motor skills of the children, and also develop better handwriting.

Recitation

Recitation is a valuable and important aspect of a classical education. It helps students develop excellent rhetorical skills, it gives them almost immediate feedback on their hard work, and it challenges their fear of speaking in public.

Theatre

Theatre helps students to develop empathy, tolerance and social awareness, cooperation and collaboration with fellow students, communication and concentration skills. Theatre offers a personal connection and engagement for viewers and students unlike any other educational method.

Workshop

Kolotan holds several workshops throughout the year on various topics. The goal behind such workshops is to expose the attendees to the scopes and process of their chosen fields. They can interact with experts in their respective areas and learn from them the valuable tips and gather other resources. Kolotan has, so far, conducted an art workshop and a theatre workshop.
